Boat to Bababu Beach, then a forty-five minute forest hike each way to a freshwater lake completely enclosed by jungle.

Bababu is the trip people remember. The boat drops you at a beach on the eastern side of Dinagat, and from there a rough forest trail climbs and drops for about forty-five minutes to a lake that sits in a bowl of limestone and jungle with no road to it at all. The water is fresh, deep and startlingly still. The trail is genuinely uneven in places — tree roots, rock, and a short scramble — so this is the most demanding day in the Dinagat set, and the most rewarding. You return to the beach for lunch before the boat ride back.
