Cancellation policy
Every listing shows one of three cancellation labels. This explains what each means, and what happens when the sea decides for you. No booking can be made on Islora yet, so nothing here is currently in force.

Draft for review. This document has been prepared ahead of Islora's launch and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes how the site works today — sample listings, no bookings, no payments — and will be finalised before any real booking is taken. It is not legal advice.
The three labels
Operators choose one when they create a listing, and it is shown on the listing page and again before you confirm.
- Flexible — full refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before the start time.
- Moderate — full refund up to 7 days before; half up to 48 hours before.
- Strict — the deposit is not refundable, but your slot can be moved to another date or transferred to someone else.
Weather, and why it is different here
Sea trips in the Philippines sail only with Coast Guard clearance on the day. That decision is not the operator's and not yours.
When an operator cancels for weather or safety, you are offered another date or a full refund, whichever you prefer. This applies whatever cancellation label the listing carries — a strict policy does not entitle an operator to keep your money for a trip that could not legally sail.
Where a destination has a land alternative, operators will usually offer that as a third option. Taking it is your choice, not a substitute imposed on you.
If the operator cancels for any other reason
Full refund, or another date if you would rather. Islora will help find an alternative operator where one exists.
Late arrival and no-shows
Boats leave on the tide and on the light, not on the clock. If you miss a departure, the operator is not obliged to refund you. Tell them as early as you can — most will try to move you rather than lose you.
Changes you request
Date changes are between you and the operator and are usually possible outside peak periods. Adding guests depends on capacity, and on boat fares that step up at fixed group sizes rather than sliding smoothly.
Deposits
Philippine operators commonly take a deposit to confirm and the balance shortly before arrival. Where a listing works that way, the listing page says so.
Your statutory rights
Nothing here reduces your rights under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394), including in cases of misrepresentation or a service not delivered as described.
Complaints
If something goes wrong, tell the operator first — most problems are solved on the spot. If that does not work, write to ujeeursos@gmail.com and Islora will take it up.
