Terms and conditions
These terms cover your use of the Islora website. Islora is operated from Dinagat Islands, Philippines, and is not yet trading as a marketplace: nothing on the site can be booked and no money changes hands.
Last updated 6 September 2026
Draft for review. This document has been prepared ahead of Islora's launch and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes how the site works today — sample listings, no bookings, no payments — and will be finalised before any real booking is taken. It is not legal advice.
What Islora is today
Islora is preparing to become a marketplace for island stays, tours, activities, dining and transport in the Philippines. It is not one yet.
Every listing on the site is sample content, marked as such. Prices shown are indicative figures drawn from real market rates; they are not offers, quotes or availability. The booking flow is a demonstration that creates no booking and takes no payment.
Using the site
You may browse, search and share anything on the site. In using it, you agree not to:
- Submit false information through any form, or submit another person's details as your own.
- Attempt to gain access to parts of the site not intended for public use.
- Copy substantial parts of the site's content for republication without permission.
- Use automated tools in a way that disrupts the site for other people.
When Islora becomes a marketplace
When bookings open, Islora will act as an intermediary between travellers and independent tourism operators. The contract for any experience will be between the traveller and the operator who provides it. Islora will be responsible for the platform; the operator will be responsible for the experience itself, including safety, licensing and delivery.
These terms will be replaced before that happens, and anyone who has given us their details will be told.
Accuracy
We take care that everything on the site is accurate, and we mark clearly what is sample content. Even so, descriptions, timings, prices and conditions on a pre-launch site should not be relied on for planning a trip. Sea conditions, permits and operator availability in the Philippines change frequently.
Anything described as indicative is exactly that.
Content you send us
If you send us text, photographs or business information through a form on this site, you keep ownership of it. You give Islora permission to use it for the purpose you sent it — answering your enquiry, or preparing your listing — and nothing else.
Operators approve their own listing before it is published. Nothing an operator sends is published without that approval.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Beyond that, because the site is informational and takes no payment, Islora is not liable for losses arising from decisions made on the basis of sample content. Once bookings open, liability will be set out in the terms that replace this document.
Your rights under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394) are not affected by anything written here.
Links to other sites
Where the site links somewhere else, we do not control what is there and are not responsible for it.
Changes
We will update these terms as Islora develops, and the date at the top will change. Material changes will be flagged on the site rather than made quietly.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. This clause in particular needs review by a Philippine lawyer before launch, along with the venue for any dispute.
