Islora
Careers

We are not hiring, and here is the honest version

Islora is one person, pre-launch, with no money coming in. Posting invented vacancies would waste your time, so this page says what is actually true.

Where things stand

Open salaried roles
None. Islora has no funding and no revenue.
Team size
One — the founder.
Equity available
Yes, for a co-founder. Nothing has been allocated.
Location
Dinagat Islands, Philippines. Remote works for the right person.

What already exists

  • A working site: search, listings, a booking prototype, an operator waitlist and an eleven-step listing wizard.
  • A market thesis grounded in operating a tour business on the island rather than in a spreadsheet.
  • One founding operator — the founder's own company — and a recruitment pipeline that has not opened yet.
  • No users, no revenue, no funding, and no launch date.
One real opening

Technical co-founder

Not a contract, not a job. An equal share of an unproven idea in a market the founder knows from the inside.

Who this suits

  • You have shipped something people used, and can point at it.
  • You are comfortable being the only engineer for a while, across the whole stack.
  • You would rather own a real problem in a small market than a slice of a large one.
  • You are unbothered by the Philippines being the market, and interested in why island tourism there is structurally underserved.

What you would own

Everything technical. The platform, the booking and payment integration, the operator tooling, and the decisions about what gets built and what does not.

The founder owns the market: the operator relationships, the itineraries, the ground truth about how island tourism in the Philippines actually works.

If you run a tourism business instead

That is the other conversation worth having, and it matters more right now than any hire. Islora is recruiting its first operators across the Philippines, starting in Dinagat.
